Looking for that ‘perfect’ keyword research tool is going to be a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack.

So, I wrote this article in the hopes of helping you cut down your research time significantly.

2. All the relevant info you need at a single glance

One of the things I really like about KWFinder is that it’s very user-friendly.

You just need to type in the keyword you want to look up, and you’ll have all the information you need on your screen.

Let me break some of my favorite features below:

* Search by Keyword

As you can see in the screenshot below, KWFinder gives you access to a wealth of information.

On the left side of the screen, here’s the information you’ll see:

• the keyword’s trend
• search volume
• cost per click (CPC)
• level of competition in pay-per-click (PPC)
• the keyword’s difficulty
• list of related keywords

Now, my KWFinder Basic subscription gives me 200 related keywords.

This means I’ve got 200 rows of keywords to sift through so I can come up with a suitable list of keywords to target.

On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the following:

• keyword difficulty (ranked from 1 to 100 – the higher the more difficult it is)
• graph of monthly search volume/trend
• the SERP overview (SERP stands for Search Engine Results Pages) which is like a screenshot of the top 10 websites on the first page of Google .

In addition to searching for a specific keyword, you can also search for keywords by typing in your competitor’s domain name or website address.

If you want to know what your competitors are ranking for, then you’ll absolutely love this tool!

In the screenshot below, I typed in the review page of a well-known Amazon affiliate website.

As you can see, they’re ranking pretty well for a bunch of keywords. In fact, they have several keywords that are ranking on the first page of Google.

KWFinder is a pretty powerful tool for spying on your competitors.

Unfortunately, I only have the basic plan which means I’m limited to getting only 25 competitor keywords per day. Admittedly, this is a bit on the low end.

3. KWFinder lives on the cloud and is browser-based

Another thing I absolutely love about KWFinder is the fact that everything happens in the cloud.

You don’t need to download anything to your computer, or update your app from time to time!

It’s completely mobile responsive, so you can do keyword research literally anywhere with an Internet connection!

4. Very user-friendly app interface

While KWFinder is a very robust app in itself, I still think it’s quite easy to navigate.

Obviously, I’ve used this app for years, so I know my way around it.

If you’re a beginner, your mileage may vary. But I think for the most part, it’s well-designed and the Mangools team really put a lot of work into making the user experience as great as possible.

There’s a lot of white space, so you don’t feel overwhelmed with all the information you see on the screen.

Overall, the design gives the app a fun and enjoyable look. I daresay it’s not as intimidating as other keyword tools out there.

Once you’ve logged into KWFinder, you just need to type in your keyword search (like you see above) and you’ll have your keyword information in a few seconds!

5. Quickly import a list of keywords

You don’t need to type individual keywords to the KWFinder search box. You can instead type all your keywords on a .TXT or .CSV file and just import it into KWFinder.

This is especially helpful if you’re in a hurry and you’re working with a few hundred keywords.

Alternatively, you can just copy and paste the keyword on the second box.

Once you’ve got all the keywords pasted, just hit the green Process keywords button, and check out the result on the next page!

6. Create keyword lists

I’ve used KWFinder’s keyword lists several times. I find it very useful when I’m doing some research for a new niche website, and I’m not sure which keywords I want to target.

I’ll start off with a seed keyword, then tick the checkbox beside the keywords I want to add to my list.

Check out the screenshot below:

Once I’ve got all my target keywords checked, I’ll click on the Add to list button. This will then appear on the screen:

As you can see, I can add the new keywords to an existing list or create a new list from scratch.

Thanks to this feature, I no longer need to manually update a keyword spreadsheet (though you can do this if this is your thing).

I can also see all of my keyword metrics at a glance. I can click on a keyword to know the latest SERP overview information and its trends. Pretty handy, right?!

7. The Mangools team continue to add new apps

When I started my KWFinder subscription, they only had KWFinder and SERPChecker.

But over time, they’ve added a lot more complementary features like SERPWatcher, LinkMiner, SiteProfiler, and even their SEO browser extension!

When I signed up in 2016, my annual Basic Plan subscription cost me $129. And to date, it’s still the amount I pay for even though their prices have gone up quite a bit.

The same Basic plan now costs $358.80 which means I save a significant amount of money every year just by maintaining my subscription!

8. Top notch customer support

I had some billing issues a couple of years ago. When I first signed up for KWFinder, I paid using Paypal.

When renewal time came, they tried to take the payment out of the same Paypal account, but I had some issues with it then.

So, I asked them to replace my Paypal details with my credit card. I remember them helping me out promptly, and I got the billing issue resolved in no time at all!

What I don’t like about KWFinder:

1. A bit pricey to be honest

I’m grateful to have been grandfathered to the old plan (that is, I still pay $129 and not $358 for the Basic plan). However, to be frank, I don’t use the app all that often.

The truth is, I probably use it maybe once or twice a month.

The only exception is when I’m doing research for a new project and I need keyword ideas. But I’ve gone several weeks without logging in to my KWFinder account.

KWFinder is a great investment if you’re going to be looking up keywords and competitor info every day.

But for the occasional user like me, it can get quite costly. So, to make the most of your subscription, I highly recommend using the tool for all its worth to get the best bang for your buck!

2. Daily limits are a bit on the low side compared to other keyword tools

Compared to other keyword tools, KWFinder’s daily limits are a bit on the low side.

For the basic plan (which is my plan), you get up to 100 keyword lookups every day and 200 keyword suggestions.

I suppose the nearest competitor with similar pricing structure would be Long Tail Pro.

Their Starter Plan costs $297/year and you get up to 10,000 keywords per month. Their Pro Plan ($67/month), on the other hand, gives you up to 20,000 keywords per month.

Of course, if KWFinder’s Basic plan is a bit lacking for your needs, you can always purchase a Premium subscription ($478/year) or even an Agency subscription ($958.80/year).

KWFinder Review Conclusion: Should you purchase a KWFinder subscription?

If you do a ton of keyword research for your work or your business, then I would suggest purchasing a KWFinder subscription.

If you’re trying to get your articles and blog posts to rank on Google, or you want your brand-new niche website to rank ASAP, then KWFinder is a great investment.

Just a word of caution about all keyword research tools though:

Keyword tools are great, but I don’t think these are all entirely accurate.

For instance, for my first niche website (which I sold last year via Empire Flippers), my main keyword had about 200 searches per month.

But according to Google Analytics, I was getting more than the stated 200 searches.

Why is this so?

Well, keyword tools all get historical data. So, last month’s trends may be different next month or next year.

You can’t ever predict your target keyword’s search volume, but a good keyword tool will at least give you an idea of what kind of traffic to expect.

That said, if you’re serious about growing your online business, then consider getting a  KWFinder subscription!

Try it out for 10 days, and if you like it, purchase a Basic plan. If you think it’s too lightweight for your needs, then a Premium or Agency subscription may be best for you.

That’s what I thought so too at first because whenever I search for product reviews (especially Internet Marketing products), I see a lot of scammy and dodgy looking sites on the web telling people they’re giving 80% discount and $20,000 worth of bonuses for a $27 product (does this look familiar?). 

So I decided to write this post to tell people that there’s a better and more ethical way of doing ‘launch jacking’ or ‘site hijacking’.

What is ‘launch jacking’ all about? Why should you know about it?

Firstly, launch jacking is when an affiliate marketer will try to ‘hijack’ or ‘jack’ an upcoming product launch by ranking their ‘review sites’ or ‘review videos’ in Google ahead of the product launch.

So when the product finally launches, and marketers email people on their list, these people (email subscribers) will  see their review articles/videos on top of Google.

More often than not, these affiliate marketers a.k.a. ‘launch jackers’ offer obscene bonuses (thousands of dollars worth of freebies) for a product that costs a mere $27, $47, or $67.

Unsuspecting people will often fall for this crap. Unfortunately, many still don’t understand the saying, “If it’s too good to be true, it probably is.”

Secondly, you should know about this marketing technique because there is a LOT OF PROFIT POTENTIAL.

There is usually a lot of ‘buzz’ around these product launches especially from big-name product vendors.

These product launches are very competitive because these big-name vendors often hold ‘affiliate contests’ to encourage their affiliates to promote the said product to their subscribers and win bonus cash (with some going up to 4 digits in cash bonuses) in the process!

Here’s how savvy affiliate marketers usually do launch jacking:

There are many methods by which you can launch jack but this is the most common one that I see:

(1) go through the list of upcoming launches on Muncheye.com, JVNotifyPro.com, WarriorJV and other similar sites to look for the most profitable products

(2) create a new website from scratch (with domain name closely matching the product’s domain name) or create a product review on existing website (could be Youtube video or article)

(3) rank that new website / product review page / product review video on Google

Now, there’s nothing wrong with this model per se. However, some marketers take it too far because instead of providing actual product reviews (meaning they’ve used and tested the product), they just COPY and PASTE the vendor’s salespage and use their sales videos too (without having used the product at all)!

So, in short, these sites are nothing more than copies of the product sales page and provide ZERO VALUE to customers who are looking for honest reviews.

Here’s an example of Launch Jacking

1. I checked the upcoming launches on Muncheye.com and see that tomorrow, 1^st August, Cindy Donovan will release a product called ‘Commission Bullseye’.

2. I type this keyword into Google ‘Commission Bullseye review’

3. Lo and behold, Google’s page 1 is full of crappy review websites that are nothing more than copy and paste jobs of the Commission Bullseye sales page and their sales videos:

Can you guys see what I mean??

These scammy review sites are up days before the actual product launch so when the product hits the market, i.e. launches, they are on top of Google which means people who are searching for reviews will eventually end up on their websites.

How do launch jackers make money?

These savvy but scammy marketers make a lot of money when people search for product reviews and click on their affiliate links!

They get a credit for the actual sale even though all they’ve done is just copy and paste the vendor’s website.

So for example, you click on any of the links above.

And you click on the link that says ‘Click Here To Buy Commission Bullseye‘ or ‘Get Your Discount Here‘ or whatever their call to action button is, then their affiliate cookie is saved on your computer.

When you buy the product, and their affiliate cookie is saved in your pc, then they get a commission (usually 50% but some products offer up to 100% commission!).

This is why they would have instructions on their site asking you to ‘clear your cookies’.

This is to make sure THEIR affiliate cookie is the most recent one on your pc so they get the $$$ commission.

The process sounds really simple, right?

This is the main reason why ‘launch jacking’ is so popular.

Unfortunately, this is also the reason why many people are turned off by affiliate and internet marketing in general. Really? $30,000 worth of bonuses??? LOL.

But a lot of people do fall for that crap and end up being burned in the process.

So how do you ‘ethically’ jack an upcoming product launch? Is it even possible?

Yes, of course it is possible. And it’s fairly quite simple too. You don’t have to scam and lie to anyone.

Here’s how you do it:

1. Contact the product vendor and ask for a review copy and test it to make sure it matches the features advertised on the sales page.

When you’re done reviewing, write all the pros and cons, write about the 5W+H (what, when, where, why, who and how) of the product to make your review as thorough as possible.

Then do SEO to rank your review article on Google so when the product is launched, people will see your website at the top of search engines!

Now, no one’s going to accuse you of copying and pasting someone’s salespage!

Easy, right?

Well, not exactly.

Unless you are an established marketer with a good reputation, no product vendor is going to give you a free pass to their product.

So what do you do?

Proceed to the second option.

2. Wait for the product to go live and buy it as soon as it’s available.

But that won’t be launch jacking anymore, will it?

Well, no, NOT in the traditional sense of ranking webpages on Google via traditional SEO methods BUT the fact is SEO is not the only source of traffic nowadays.

Even a tiny budget (say $5 per day) can go a long way in paid ads (Google Adwords, Bing Ads, FB Ads) if you do proper targeting.

Step by step guide to ETHICAL launch jacking with ‘Super Jacker’

Super Jacker is a cloud based software developed by Brett Rutecky. This awesome software allows you to ‘hijack’ other people’s websites and legally use their content and authority to get you opt-ins and make you sales.

Again, I would like to stress that you should only ‘hijack’ websites whom you are affiliated with!

This way it’s a win-win relationship:

You use their content to get sales for both yourself and the product vendor.

If you hijack any other website without being affiliated with them, then I think that’s just stealing and obviously unethical.

Especially if you jack their website and promote ANOTHER non-related product on the jacked page. That’s just wrong on all levels.

Alright, so let’s start off with how to use Super Jacker to ‘hijack’ product launches ethically:

In this example, we will be ‘hijacking’ the VideoMakerFX sales page because I am an affiliate of this product.   

1. First of all, you have to sign up to be an affiliate of the product and make sure you’re approved before you do anything else.

If you’re applying for a product on JVZOO, here’s a screenshot of how you do it:

2. When you click on the Request button, you will be directed to a page that looks like this. Take note of the text in red.

3. Once you are approved as an affiliate, you will need to click on the green ‘Get Links’ button and copy your affiliate link as shown in the image below.

4. Login to your Super Jacker account and click on ‘My Slides’ then click on ‘Create New’

5. You can change the slide settings as you can see below.

6. Here comes the fun part: designing the ‘slide’. You can mix and match any of the elements which I’ve described below to achieve the ultimate goal of making the reader click on your ‘slide’.

Here’s a sample slide I’ve made for this tutorial:

7. Now, we go to the ‘My Jacks’ section:

There are 2 ‘jack types’ available: cURL jack and iFRAME jack.

cURL jack is best for people who only want to use the authority of the website.

This is NOT for affiliate marketers or anyone who relies on COOKIES dropped on their potential customers computers in order to make sales.

For affiliate marketers, you should make sure you use the iFRAME jack to get credited for affiliate sales.

8. Next, we click on ‘View Jack’ to see how our jack looks like on the actual website. This is what we see:

9. Notice the domain name on the jacked URL. All jacks are hosted on shwit.us.

You can use a link shortener like bit.ly, tinyurl or goo.gl to hide the shwit.us domain when you share your link on social media.

OR

You can use a plugin like Pretty Links or a self-hosted solution like Easy Redirect Script.

I personally use Easy Redirect Script because it gives me so much more flexibility and control when it comes to cloaking my affiliate links.

With regard to our example, the jacked link URL is http://shwit.us/videomakerfx

I will use  EasyRedirectScript’s Stealth Page settings to change the jacked URL to https://angiearriesgado.com/go/videomakerfx-superjack-demo

It looks just like the original VideoMakerFX website (because it is) and if you wait 10 seconds, you will see the demo slide with our bonuses on it!

10. That’s it! All we need to do now is share our jacked link with the whole world! How? By sharing it on your blog, your social media channels, forums, etc.

This is a super awesome tool and it’s very powerful for jacking websites and product launches.

There’s nothing to install and you can create your ‘slides’ and ‘jacks’ in minutes. I highly recommend this software!

Note, however, that it wasn’t designed with SEO in mind because obviously the content would be 100% duplicate.

But this is PERFECT for those who have plenty of friends and followers on social media. They can just post their links and people will click on them because they trust these marketers. 

My Final Thoughts

Launch jacking (and site jacking in general) are really powerful techniques that marketers use day in and day out to make serious cash online.

But you can’t just ‘jack’ any website you don’t have the authority to do so because it’s just plain stealing.

I’m sure you wouldn’t be happy if you someone used your content without your permission and profited from it!

This is why I recommend only jacking websites whom you are affiliated with.

I’m positive these vendors won’t mind you using their content since they will also profit from any sales you make! So it’s really a win-win situation for you both.

Also, you have to choose the products you want to ‘jack’ carefully as not all product launches happen.

Some are moved to a later date (this is generally fine) while some don’t happen at all (this is bad news if you’ve done a lot of work already).

The good thing is if you are using Super Jacker you don’t have to go through the hassle of setting up a review site or video and ranking it on Google.

You can just simply create a jack and share the link with your audience!

I will be showing my PERSONAL methods and systems — this is not regurgitated stuff you can find online!

So, why am I doing this? Why am I sharing this system that’s working for me?

Because a couple of years ago I was a complete beginner to the affiliate marketing world too and I have wasted several months trying and testing which method works best.

There’s a very steep learning curve in affiliate marketing and my mission is to help you reduce the amount of time you will spend studying, i.e. help you stop wasting time on systems and products that may or may not work! 

Of course, you still have to do a lot of work but with this guide, your learning curve should be effectively cut into half or even less!

There are plenty of information on the Internet about affiliate marketing but most of these are just general information and you’ve got to go out and search for the specific details.

You can Google this.. there’s plenty of ‘gurus’ and scammers photoshopping income proof to make them look like legit millionaires! In fact, I can make a tutorial on this if you want. LOL

So yeah, I’m afraid you just have to take my word for it, try out my system for doing affiliate marketing even without a website, and see if it works for you too!

Chapter 1: A Quick Intro To The Wonderful World Of Affiliate Marketing

So before we get into the meat of this tutorial, I’d like to give a quick background to affiliate marketing for anyone who has never heard of affiliate marketing before.

If you are a non-beginner and are an intermediate learner, then, by all means, please skip to the next chapter.

Why I love affiliate marketing (and why you should too)

I love affiliate marketing because more often than not, you only have to do the *hard work* once and reap the profits for a long time!

For instance, it may take you several weeks to finish your new niche website BUT once it starts ranking on Google then you can expect a steady flow of income (this is, of course, assuming your site was done correctly).

Another example would be how you can make a nice video in just a few hours, rank it on Google and Youtube, and then reap the benefits from your affiliate link for a long, long time (I will show you how to do this). This is as close to passive income as you can get.

Is affiliate marketing easy?

In a nutshell? NO, IT’S CERTAINLY NOT. 

Affiliate marketing is not for the faint-hearted. It requires a lot of work, a lot of dedication, and yes, a lot of time to learn and master.

It’s like taking a one or two year course at university and finishing it in 6 months or less – there are lots of things to learn and study!

Yes, you can earn a lot of money with affiliate marketing BUT you have to work hard for it.

There is no magic shortcut and no ‘push button’ software that will send a flood of dollars to your bank account!

If you read that on any sales page (especially on make money online products), run in the opposite direction.

It’s just pure hype and nonsense spewed by unethical marketers out to make a quick profit off of you.

Affiliate marketing without a website (and even with a website) is NOT a get rich quick scheme.

For instance, it took me 3 months to get my first niche website up and running (I wrote over 50,000 words spread out in 20+ product reviews).

But it’s been earning me a nice passive income to this day (almost a year since I launched that site).

Am I not afraid of copycats?

No, I’m not afraid of copycats. The Internet is such a huuuuuge place and there are an infinite number of niches we can get into.

Also, I honestly do not know if someone else is using the same affiliate marketing methods I follow.

I personally arrived at this method following a long process of trial and error. 

And Internet marketing takes a lot of work – not everyone is going to take action.

I’d say maybe 1-2% of whoever reads this guide will take action (that’s a challenge for you to not belong to the 98-99% of people who are only going to read this and not take any action at all).

There are literally millions of products you can promote online in whatever niche you can think of.

You just have to be creative and you just have to know how to connect some seemingly random product into your post or video. 

What are the caveats for this guide?

While I aim to be as detailed as possible, I have to mention the following caveats:

1. I’m not going to tell you what my niches/niche websites are because I’m already showing my exact process to you – I don’t want you to steal my bread and butter too, so to speak. But don’t worry, I’m going to show you how you can find profitable niches you can start on.

2. I’m an affiliate for most of the software tools I’m using. This means if you click on the link to the product and buy it, I will get a small commission. I thank you in advance if you choose to do so.

3. I will outline exactly what I do so there’s no ambiguity. However, I cannot possibly cover everything there is to know about affiliate marketing as there’s just too many possible angles/products/systems that other people are using.

Chapter 2: Choosing an Affiliate Network and the Right Products to Promote

There are plenty of affiliate networks to choose from (you can easily look this up on Google) but personally, I promote products from just 5 major affiliate networks.

My Top 5 Affiliate Networks

Here’s a table outlining the pros and cons of my top 5 affiliate networks:

The application process for these networks is pretty straight forward so I’m not going to be detailing the entire application process in this guide.

Also, I will mostly be discussing my methods in my top 3 favorite networks: Amazon, Clickbank and JVZOO because I’m just one person and it will take me forever to write about all major affiliate networks out there. LOL.

How to find good product(s) in Amazon, Clickbank and JVZOO

Pay close attention to this particular section because this will form the foundation of your affiliate marketing efforts.

You have to know how to choose a good niche and how to choose a suitable product in that niche.

If you choose a not so profitable niche then you just might end up doing the work again from scratch!

Step 1. Choose your niche

The first step is to look for a good niche you want to work in. There are plenty of niches to choose from and I suggest working on something you are interested in or passionate about.

Here are some sample niches and sub-niches to give you an idea:

Your imagination is your limit. Feel free to explore and list down your favorites and from there you can narrow down the best interests/niches you want to work in.

I highly recommend you choose something that you’re interested in no matter how remote that interest might be.

Because if you choose a topic you have no interest in, you’re going to get bored and tired and you won’t feel motivated to work on your content.

Have you already got a niche in mind?

Proceed to step 2.

Step 2. It’s now time to look for a relevant product to promote.

Since we are going to be discussing 3 major networks, I will break this section into 3 parts:

• Step 2a will be for Amazon.
• Step 2b will be for Clickbank.
• Step 2c will be for JVZOO products.

Read below to learn more about my product selection process for each network.

Step 2a. How to select a good profitable product on Amazon

In early 2017, Amazon released their updated affiliate program fee rates for specific product categories.

Before this update, affiliates with huge volumes of traffic and sales were raking in huge commissions because Amazon used tiered commissions then.

The more sales you had, the higher your commission bracket.

Now, with Amazon’s new update, it doesn’t matter if you sell hundreds or thousands of products. You are now on a fixed rate whether you like it or not.

For demonstration purposes, let’s say you chose this niche: MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS.

In my opinion, this is a good niche and as you can see in the table you get 6% commission which is a good enough rate especially if you pull in lots of traffic and affiliate sales.

Under Musical Instruments, you have a plethora of musical instruments to choose from. On Amazon, you’re given the following options:

Guitars

Bass guitars

Ukuleles, Mandolins & Banjos

Amplifiers & Effects

Drums & Percussion

Keyboards & Midi

Microphones & Accessories

Let’s say you chose Guitars. You’ll then see the following sub-categories:

Electric Guitars

Acoustic Guitars

Acoustic-electric Guitars

Classical & Nylon-string Guitars

You can even narrow it down further. If I click on Electric Guitars, I’ll get this result:

Beginner Kits

Hollow & Semi-Hollow Body

Lap & Pedal Steel Guitars

Solid Body

Clicking on the Beginner Kits link, I will then be redirected to a page that displays the Best Sellers, Top Rated, Hot New Releases, Most Gifted, and Most Wished For Beginner Electric Guitars.

I will then create a list of the Best Selling beginner electric guitars and add the products that meet the criteria below to my list.

For Amazon, I personally follow these criteria when selecting products to promote:

• Price must be at least $100.
• Have at least 10 reviews.
• Must have 4-5 star rating.
• It must have other similar products.

You can do this manually or you can use a software like Amasuite which I personally use.

I love Amasuite because it makes my life so much easier because I can easily get a list of products I want to promote without manually going through thousands of products on Amazon!

Here’s what it looks like:

That’s it. That’s how you look for a suitable product on Amazon to promote in your affiliate website.

Step 2b. How to select a good affiliate product on Clickbank

I made a video which shows you how to select a good product on Clickbank which you can promote as an affiliate. Check it out here:

Here are the general guidelines I follow when looking for a good Clickbank product:

1. The product must solve a specific problem relevant to my niche.

2. Gravity from 1-60 so it’s not too competitive and there’s plenty of room for promotion.

3. Look for products with Affiliate Resources as this will make promoting the product so much easier!

4. Avoid video-only sales pages. I personally cannot stand these types of landing pages especially if there’s no way to just finish the video and go to the pricing page or something. You can’t even find out the price until after the video stops playing. Talk about frustrating!

5. Avoid distracting landing pages with a lot of different things going on. You want your site visitor to do one thing – to buy the product. You don’t want them getting distracted and getting lost in the myriad of links on the vendor’s site.

Step 2c. How to select a product and apply to be an affiliate on JVZOO

For JVZOO, you have to go to Affiliates tab then Find Products section and then filter through the search results.

You can easily filter whatever catches your fancy and of course meets you audience’s needs.

Then you have to apply to each product vendor individually and ask to promote their product.

These are the guidelines I follow when applying to be an affiliate on a particular JVZOO product:

1. I’ve purchased the software or had trial access (not necessary but it’s better to actually have experience using the product).

2. The vendor must be trustworthy and have a good track record on JVZOO. When you gain more experience on JVZOO, you’ll start to recognize the biggest names in this market and know whether they make good products or not.

Most vendors have restrictions when it comes to new affiliates due to a number of fraudulent activities.

When applying, especially if you have zero sales, it’s best to mention that you are willing to be on Delayed Payments. You can use this application template and edit if you like:

Hi, I’m a new JVZOO affiliate and would love to promote your product. I run a blog at http://yourwebsitehere.com where I review useful products in my niche and I believe my site readers would love to buy your product! I also don’t mind being on delayed payments so I hope you will approve my request. Thank you.

Once you get approved (you’ll get an email notification from JVZOO), you can then get your affiliate links and start promoting the product!

Taking a shortcut with Affiliate Titan

If you want to skip the manual process involved in looking for a good product and save your precious time instead, then I suggest you take a look at this 6-in-1 software tool suite called Affiliate Titan!

It’s an awesome product that gets 5 stars from me. I use this all the time when I’m in a rush and need to get good product ideas.

Here’s a summary of the 6 software features from left to right (click left and right to view the screenshots of each component software of Affiliate Titan):

1) Launch Pulse – shows a list of upcoming 100+ product launches on JVZOO and Warrior Forum. Very useful if you are into launch jacking.

I really, really love this product because I can see straightaway which items are hot on Amazon, Clickbank and JVZOO and I don’t have to manually search on these networks!

It’s literally a huge time saver for me!

My Affiliate Titan Rating: 8.5/10

Skip the manual (and complicated) process of looking for the perfect affiliate product to promote.  Get this awesome and extremely affordable 6-in-1 software now. But why only 8.5/10?

Well, it’s because to be totally upfront the software just gives you the top products (on a platter, so to speak). This means that if you want to know more or do some more in-depth research, this isn’t the right software for you.

But at its current price, it’s a STEAL, and it will certainly give you plenty of ideas if you’re just starting out.

Chapter 3: How To Look For Profitable Keywords

There are plenty of paid and free tools you can use to look for profitable keywords. I personally use a combination of both.

First, the FREE keyword tools:

1. Google search engine

Starting with Google allows me to get plenty of ideas. I will type in my search query and then I will scroll down to the bottom where Google has a list of related keywords. I then copy the relevant keywords in an Excel file.

I do this several times until I have a good number of keywords saved in my Excel file.

Check out this screenshot to give you a clear idea:

I use this method more than any other free tools because this is what people are actually typing into Google.

It does take some time to do this but it gives you a very good idea into the kind of topics/keywords your audience is searching for.

2. Free Keyword Tools

I mainly use the following free keyword tools when doing keyword research:

AnswerThePublic.com / Keyword.io / KeywordTool.io

These are free tools that will give you plenty of keyword ideas.

Just type in your query and copy the keywords that looks promising or interesting to you in your Excel file.

Okay so now you probably have hundreds of keywords compiled in your Excel file. Let’s move on to the next section.

Second, the PREMIUM keyword tools:

1. KWFINDER

What you do next then is plug in this list to a keyword software like KWFinder which gives you a whole lot of data NOT available in any free tools.

Using the same keyword we used previously, “how to earn money online”, we get the following results on KWFinder (note the section highlighted in red box):

KWFinder will show you your keyword’s:

– TREND for the past 12 months

– the average monthly SEARCH VOLUME in the past 12 months

– the average cost per click (CPC)

– the level of competition in PPC advertising, and

– the keyword’s SEO DIFFICULTY.

I love KWFinder because it gives me the information I need at the click of a button.

I’m on my 2nd year with KWFinder and am subscribed to the basic plan which gives me 100 keyword lookups, 100 SERP lookups and 200 related keywords per search per 24 hours.

My basic plan also gives me access to their newly-released software, SERPChecker, which is an awesome tool!

SERPChecker gives me all the information I need to determine how difficult it would be to try and outrank all these websites.

It’s so powerful because you can easily see your competitors’ information, such as:

– Rank – the SEO difficulty of the keyword

– DA / PA – domain authority and page authority (the higher, the more powerful the website)

– CF / TF – citation flow and trust flow

– MozRank and MozTrust 

– the number of backlinks pointing to the page

– the number of Facebook shares

– the number of Google pluses

My KWFINDER (and SERPCHECKER) Rating: 10/10

These software complement each other perfectly and you can easily look for the most profitable keywords for your campaign! It’s cloud-based, it’s very fast and support is very helpful too. To top it off, it’s priced very competitively!

2. VIDEO KEYWORD SPY

I use this tool whenever I create videos which I want to rank on both Youtube and Google. There are many factors that influence or dictates a video’s rank on Youtube and Google.

There are some software that gives you an estimate difficulty for ranking on Youtube and other software that gives you an estimate difficulty for ranking on Google.

Video Keyword Spy does both – in fact, it’s the only software of its kind which I trust. I’ve been very satisfied with my video rankings so far!

Here’s my case study:

1. My keyword for the Youtube video I made above in Chapter 2 (step 2b Clickbank) is “how to select a good product on clickbank to promote as an affiliate“.

Here’s the video again just in case you missed it:

2. So before I made the video, I checked Video Keyword Spy if it was a good video keyword which would get me ranked on Google.

Here’s a screenshot:

Video Keyword Spy says the overall difficulty is moderate at 33.3%. It also states (in green highlight) that “The above stats match our existing data which indicates easy page 1 rankings“.

3. So today I checked on Google (I went incognito to make sure the search results won’t be skewed by my search history) and guess where my video is?

It’s on the 3rd spot on page number 1.

Oh, and by the way, I used a VPN and set my IP to a USA IP address so this means I’m ranking quite nicely for this particular search term in the US.

I really love Video Keyword Spy. I’ve had quite a number of videos ranked on page 1 just by using good keywords I’ve found with this software.

My Video Keyword Spy Rating: 10/10

This is one of my favorite tools and I use this all the time when I publish new videos in my niche Youtube channel. It’s very fast and it’s very accurate too. This is easily one of the best investments I’ve made and to top it off, the product owners offer awesome and timely support too. 

If you are serious about ranking your videos on BOTH Google AND Youtube, then this software is a MUST.

Chapter 4: The Fun Part — How To Create Videos To Promote Your Affiliate Product (this is my preferred method of doing affiliate marketing without a website)

Alright, we’re now at the heart of this guide so pay close attention to what I’m about to teach you.

So, in the previous chapters, we’ve covered (1) how to look for a good affiliate product to promote and (2) how to look for profitable keywords using both free and premium keyword tools.

In short, YOU should now have a PRODUCT and a LIST OF KEYWORDS to target.

For illustration purposes, let’s say I chose ‘Organifi Green Juice‘ on Clickbank. It’s got pretty good numbers as evidenced by this screenshot:

It’s quite a popular product (but not extremely popular as it only has 76.66 gravity) and you even have an opportunity to earn rebills!

I wanted to make this guide as realistic as possible so I used KWFINDER and VIDEO KEYWORD SPY to look for a good VIDEO keyword. I came up with the following results:

The keyword ‘organifi reviews‘ has  a very good SEO difficulty score according to KWFINDER. But is it a good video keyword?

To check if ‘organifi reviews‘ is a good video keyword, I ran the keyword on VIDEO KEYWORD SPY and came up with the following result:

Alright, so it seems we got ourselves a good video keyword. For this chapter, we will use ‘organifi reviews‘ as our video keyword.

Now, before I disclose my exact steps in making affiliate product review videos, I ask myself the following questions:

1. Have I tried the product myself? 

– If YES, then I don’t hesitate making a video demonstrating the features and benefits of the product. It’s much easier this way and you gain credibility with your audience.

– If NO, then it’s going to be a bit more tricky. When promoting affiliate products, you might not have the money to buy everything so we have to think outside the box and be creative. Read on to find out how to overcome this.

2. Does the vendor have affiliate resources?

– If the vendor HAS affiliate resources, I make use of their free content, free images, free video materials, etc. (this is why we recommend choosing products with free affiliate resources in Chapter 2)  

– If the vendor has NO affiliate resources, I just get their content from their sales page and then do my own designs (unless otherwise stated use only content you are allowed to use – don’t steal content! or you could get banned).

So for our example in this Chapter, we have chosen the Clickbank product ORGANIFI.

They have plenty of affiliate resources on their website so we are going to use those in creating our video.

Note: Organifi requires affiliates to be pre-approved which means you have to apply first to be their affiliate.

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: I am not an ORGANIFI affiliate but for purposes of illustration, I am using this product as an example because they offer plenty of affiliate resources which makes it a great affiliate product.

So with that disclaimer out of the way, let’s proceed.

Now what follows are the exact steps I follow when creating videos to promote my chosen products:

1. First, you have to prepare your script or storyline.

You can’t just go in blindly. You have to prepare the flow of your video so people aren’t lost or left wondering what your video is about.

2. Second, you have try and make visually appealing videos. I personally a software called VIDEOMAKERFX to make a variety of slides and support the main points in my storyline.

Here’s a quick and simple demo video I made in about 5 minutes using VIDEOMAKERFX:

Now, while VIDEOMAKERFX is awesome and so much better and faster than Powerpoint, it’s not a video editor. It’s a video maker, but it’s not a video editor.

So if you want to spice up your video and add effects, transitions or other images and videos, you have to use a proper video editing software.

(Proceed to step 3 to find out what it is).

My VIDEOMAKERFX Rating: 9/10

3) I edit all the elements of my video using my favorite video editing software, CAMTASIA.

If I could give this software 11 out of 10 marks, I would! It makes my life so much easier and it makes my videos look so much better. It’s perfect for any affiliate marketer and the price is just about right.

So, in the video we made with VIDEOMAKERFX in Step 2, I didn’t add any background music because I just wanted the slides done.

With Camtasia, I’m going to be adding background music and images, some voice over and some additional effects and transitions.

Note that I edited the video storyline first before recording my voice over using the free software Audacity. I could record my voice over in Camtasia but Audacity gives me so much more flexibility such as removing the background noise and more.

I know my audio can still be cleaned up but hey, this is just a demo so you have a better understanding of how I make my videos, I’m not here to make a perfect video.

My CAMTASIA Rating: 10/10

Camtasia is perfect for creating high quality and professional looking videos. I ALWAYS use this software when I make videos and I’ve had people tell me how impressed they were with my video making skills (LOL! I don’t think I’m any good at all..

I think I have mediocre video skills. But all the same, all credit goes to this excellent software!). Of course, this software is a bit on the high-end of the price spectrum but for its features and ease of use, I think the price is more than fair. There are other cheaper video editors but for an affiliate marketer like me, Camtasia is the perfect video editor.

Chapter 5: How to create eye-catching Youtube thumbnails

Okay, so now we’ve covered almost everything. We’ve got ourselves a good product to promote and we’ve created the video in chapter 4.

Now, we know there are millions, if not billions, of videos on Youtube.

We NEED to make our videos stand out from the crowd – we want our videos to be seen when someone types our keywords on the search bar.

So how do we do this?

By creating attractive and eye-catching thumbnails. To the right is an example of Youtube thumbnails.

In this screenshot, I bet a few thumbnails caught your attention straight away.

There are many tools you can use to create YT thumbnails. You can use Photoshop, Canva, even good ol’ Microsoft Paint.

But my personal favorite is Youzign. I use it all the time. Not just to make thumbnails for my Youtube videos, I use it to create graphics for all of my websites and social media accounts.

Here are my favorite reasons why I love Youzign:

1. It’s cloud based (I don’t have to download the software to my pc).

2. It’s very fast and responsive even on different browsers.

3. It integrates with a lot of free-photo sites such as Pixabay, Unsplash, Pexels, etc. This means I don’t have to download the photos from these websites and then upload it to Youzign. All I have to do is just do a search from within my Youzign dashboard and then click on the photo I like, and it will be downloaded to my Youzign canvas. Easy as pie!

4. It includes a lot of really cool templates which you can use for free. All you have to do is pick out a template and then swap out the elements you want to change. This way, you can save some time and have a brand-new graphic in just a few minutes!

5. Lastly, if you want to check out how your graphic would look like, you can click on the ‘preview button’ so you get a feel if your video is going to stand out or not.

To demonstrate just how quick Youzign is, watch me make a new Youtube thumbnail for our Organifi example in 2 minutes:

I know it’s not the most beautiful thumbnail but it does catch your eye, doesn’t it? (see what I did there? LOL)

As you can see, I used these elements in my thumbnail to make it ‘stand out’ from the crowd:

1. Use big fonts
2. Use relevant image (relevant to your keyword)
3. Put a border on the graphic

Again, you are free to use any graphics software. I just prefer to use Youzign because it’s so much more convenient for me.

What’s important is that you are able to create good quality graphics within a reasonable amount of time.

Don’t sweat the small stuff — it’s so easy to criticize yourself and make non-stop edits to your work. Your work doesn’t have to be perfect. As Nike would say, Just. Do. It.

My YOUZIGN Rating: 10/10

I give this software 9/10 rating because I literally use it everyday and it’s very convenient for my needs. I use it to make all my social media graphics and website graphics. It’s a fast, cloud-based app that’s also very friendly for newbies. Their support is also top notch. This product has been in the market for a couple of years now and it’s still being supported (and regularly updated) by developers!

Chapter 6: Work on your Video SEO

Video SEO is important if you want your video to rank on Youtube and Google. When I first started making videos, I was super careful about Video SEO and most of my knowledge came from probably one of biggest names in the SEO world — Brian Dean of Backlinko.

You should check out his in-depth tutorial here if you are serious about learning how to rank Youtube videos.

For video SEO purposes, we need to add a description to each video we upload to Youtube. Brian Dean recommends the following ‘ingredients’ for video description:

1. Put your link (affiliate link) at the top of the description as this increases the CTR or clickthrough rate. However, I don’t just copy and paste those long and ugly affiliate links.

For example, this is what a Clickbank affiliate link looks like:

c6dzm0ley75e5coqj10yax5n6l.hop.clickbank.net. 

Would you click on that link?? I don’t think so.

What I do is I use a link cloaker that makes my links ‘pretty’.

There are plenty of tools and plugins that do this for  you but if you want to know what I use, it’s a software called Easy Redirect Script which I use on all my websites.

I even use it on this blog. So instead of an ugly affiliate link, my links look like this: angiearriesgado.com/go/affiliate-link. This looks so much better and is definitely more clickable.

Please note that Easy Redirect Script has to be installed on your domain’s hosting (so yes, you need to buy a domain name and web hosting).

This is actually a very simple process if you know FTP. This software also allows you to have COMPLETE control of your links!

I don’t recommend the use of third-party link shorteners such as bit.ly, tinyurl or goo.gl. This is because these sites have now started blocking affiliate links so your links are not going to show up if people click on them.

I’m sure there are other link shorteners out there that still work for affiliate links but I personally don’t bother with that anymore so I can’t give an alternate suggestion.

2. Include the keyword you’ve selected in Chapter 3 in the first 25 words.

3. Make the description at least 250 words; this minimum word count will allow you to include your keyword 3-4 times naturally, i.e. without looking like you’re just ‘keyword stuffing’ which is a big no nowadays.

I like to group my keywords into similar keywords and then create a ‘general’ title for that ‘group’ of keywords.

So for example, if I’ve got 3 keyword groups, then I will craft a total of 3 titles.

This is what it looks like:

What I will do is I will create 3 videos targeting each keyword group. This technique allows me to get traffic not just for my main keyword but for keyword groups 1-3!

You’re probably thinking, that’s a lot of videos to make because as you probably already know Youtube won’t allow you to upload duplicate videos.

So, here’s my workaround for this duplicate video problem:

All you have to do is just create 1 main video and then do the following for the other similar/duplicate videos:

1. Make slight changes to your video. For example, you can change the music or you can change the intro or outro. This doesn’t have to be complicated. A super small edit will make your video entirely unique for Youtube and will bypass Youtube duplicate video filter.

2. You can use a video cloner tool like ‘Mass Video Cloner’ which clones your video and does the job in literally 2 seconds! It changes the file at the bit or byte level (don’t ask me to explain it’s too technical for me. Haha)! But it’s literally lightning quick!

I’m sure there are other methods and other software out there that can help you save time or maybe even automate the process. But these 2 methods are the ones I use now.

Okay, so following the steps above we now have 3 videos.

What we need to do now is work on our video SEO to make sure our videos rank on Youtube (or if you read what I wrote in Chapter 3, you can also rank in Google if you use a video keyword tool called Video Keyword Spy).

A checklist or to-do list for your Video SEO

So I wrote this short checklist for you to use as your to-do list when doing your Video SEO.

1. Use your main keyword as the video file name. For instance, if your keyword is ‘organifi review’ then your video filename should be ‘organifi review.mp4’ or something like that.

2. Use your keyword in the title. Going by the same keyword in point 1 above, the title for our video would be something like “Honest and unbiased organifi review from a fitness instructor”.

3. Use your keyword as the filename for your Youtube thumbnail. Since your thumbnail will most probably be either a jpg or png file, your thumbnail file name will be ‘organifi review.png’ or ‘organifi review.jpg’.

4. Use your ‘keyword groups’ as tags in the video. In our example keyword groups table above, we have 3 keywords per group. This means, I will use Keyword 1, Keyword 2, Keyword 3 as ‘tags’ in my video. Another trick would be to use the same tags as the most popular videos that show up for your keyword so you really have to do your research diligently.

5. Your description should be at least 200 words and you should make sure to mention your keyword around 3-4 times (just don’t keyword stuff please!).

Numbers 1-4 you have to do individually or for each video.

But for number 5, you DON’T have to write 200 words per video (that will take too much time!). Imagine if you’ve got 10 or 20 similar videos you would end up writing 2000-4000 words of content!

This is where my other little secret trick comes in — you can use a content spinner to make your descriptions unique.

This software literally saves me hours of my time so I highly recommend this.

Chapter 7: Upload your videos to Youtube and start promoting

When uploading your videos to Youtube, make sure you do the following tasks as shown in the screenshot below: You can also choose to maximize all the free tools that Youtube gives you such as:

• End screen and annotations — you can use Youzign to create good looking end screens
• Cards — you can use this feature to link to another video, playlist or channel, create a poll for your viewers and even link to an approved website
• Subtitles — these are useful so your viewers can easily understand what you are trying to say

When your video(s) are uploaded, you should then get the word out and let the world know about your new video! There are many ways you can do this. Here are some examples of where you can share your content. 

1. Your blog
2. Your social media channels
3. In relevant forums (just make sure you’re adding value to the conversation not just spamming your link because you can easily get banned)
4. In Q&A sites like Quora
5. Commenting in other people’s blogs
6. You can even use paid advertising

Just remember that the content creation/promotion ratio is 20/80 which means you spend 20% of your time creating your content or video and the 80% is spent on promoting it!

My Final Thoughts

Now that I’ve written and detailed my entire process for doing affiliate marketing, it’s now time for you to take action.

As I said in the introduction, affiliate marketing is not easy. It takes a lot of work which in turn will take up a lot of your time. But if you do everything correctly, then you have set up an income stream that will be passive for a long time to come!

Also, I would like to point out again that there are many ways you can go about promoting affiliate products. In this tutorial, I kept things as simple as possible and I chose to teach you about direct linking to the affiliate product by cloaking your affiliate link.

However, there is another more complicated option which involves building a ‘squeeze page’ to capture your audience’s email address so you can market to them later on via email marketing. I’ll try to do a tutorial on this as well sometime in the future.

First of all, what is spun content?

Have you ever come across an article or web page that read like it was written by someone who just randomly inserted words in a nonsensical fashion?

Text that just didn’t make sense at all? And text that made your head spin?

I’m sure you have..

Chances are what you read (or tried to read, for that matter) was spun text created by a spinner tool or paraphrasing software. 

But just in case you don’t know what I’m referring to, check out this example:

Here’s My Original Text:

Before I give you the 5 main reasons I chose to stay with my Bluehost Plus subscription for another year, I’d like to give a not so quick background on why I ditched Hostgator after hours of just signing up.

Compare this to the Spun Text below (using a random free English paraphrasing tool I found online):

Now that spun text didn’t make a lot of sense, did it?

I wrote that original text here and I’d like to assume that you can understand what I am trying to convey in that sentence.

Now, I’m not going to pretend I’m a native English speaker. But I like to think my writing skills are good enough for you to understand and make you think a real person wrote it.

Now, for the spun text.. didn’t your head ache just trying to make sense of 41 words??

I know mine did!

Whew.

Imagine reading an entire article made of spun text. I swear it’ll make you vomit.

I’ve read countless articles through the years with text spun so poorly I thought to myself I was never going to spin content and would rather write everything manually instead of making my audience suffer.

I really, really thought all sentence rephrasing tools and content spinning software were created the same — just pure rubbish machines spewing unreadable content on the world wide web!

Thankfully, I was mistaken. You see, as soon I learned about Spin Rewriter and took it out for a spin (notice the pun? lol), I was hooked!

What is Spin Rewriter?

Spin Rewriter is a content spinning software (a.k.a.  SEO article rewriter) developed by Aaron Sustar.

This online software was highly recommended by an Internet marketer I follow and trust, so I decided to go check it out. (I’d say plenty of online marketers are only interested in gaining profit for themselves and don’t care whether they recommend garbage software or not).

This marketer only recommends software he actually uses and which complements his own products (I’m a happy user of his software).

So if he says in his Spin Rewriter review that this is the best content and article spinner, then it’s probably true. So check it out I went.

By this time, I was well into my Youtube marketing activities and I wanted to make unique descriptions for each video I made (I’ll write a detailed guide about my video creation process later).

I was uploading 10-20 videos per day and didn’t have time to write that much content (I aimed for at least 300 words in the description) so you can imagine how much time writing 3000-6000 words would take!

So I tried out their 5-day free trial and I can literally say I was blown away by what Spin Rewriter could do!

For years, I thought there was no way I was ever going to use spun content but with this software I could easily reword, rephrase and rewrite words, sentences, paragraphs and entire articles quickly.

I immediately realized just how powerful it was and how it can help me grow my online business!

After the 5-day trial was up, I signed up for the yearly subscription for $77. There are actually 3 payment options:

(1) Monthly subscription at $47/mo

(2) Yearly subscription at $77/year

(3) Lifetime subscription (one time payment) at $497

Of course, the annual subscription would be the most effective in the long run, but it’s too expensive for me at the moment.

The monthly option wasn’t so cost effective as well seeing how I planned on using the software for months or maybe even years!

The sweet spot for me was the annual subscription so that’s what I bought.

Who will benefit from Spin Rewriter?

I know this tool is not for everybody — this is geared more towards people who need plenty of unique content fast and who don’t have the $$$ to spend on an army of content writers.

If you are a blogger or affiliate marketer doing some backlinking work, an article writer looking to submit content to various websites, an SEO expert/agency, or any one who needs unique content fast, then you should seriously take a look at Spin Rewriter.

I guarantee this software is nothing like the free spinning tools you see online.

Where will you get the content to spin?

There are plenty of options if you think outside the box. Here’s what I can think of at the top of my head:

1. For me, personally, I prefer to write my own content and then I run it through Spin Rewriter. This way I have multiple versions of my own unique article.

This works if I want to change or rewrite sentences without changing the meaning.

2. If you don’t want to write the content yourself, you can outsource it.

You can go to Fiverr.com and hire a writer for a few bucks. Then you can spin their submitted content through the best article rewriter nowadays, Spin Rewriter.

3. Alternatively, you can use PLR articles (Private Label Rights) which you can buy very cheaply and spin it on the software.

I don’t recommend just plugging in the PLR article directly to Spin Rewriter because other people would be using the same content.

11 Reasons Why I Love Spin Rewriter:

I’ve got plenty of reasons why I love this software (11 of them to be exact!). Read on to find out if you agree with my thoughts:

1. It’s not just automated spinning — they use Emulated Natural Language Semantic Technology.

Wait, what? It’s quite a mouthful.

Let’s just cut it short to ENL Semantic Technology. Basically, it means the software analyzes the whole article to understand what it means.

It doesn’t just focus on word-level spinning, or even paragraph-level spinning, it focuses on the context that’s why it’s able to do whole article level spinning.

Take for example this text:

John can relax and read a book, because his kids can book the vacation for him.

Note that the word ‘book’ was used twice in the sentence.

The free spinner I tried online came out with this spun version:

John can relax up and read a book, since his youths can book the outing for him.

It didn’t even spin the word ‘book’. But with Spin Rewriter, the spun text was as follows:

1. John can relax and read a novel, because his kids can make a reservation for the vacation for him.

2. John is able to relax and read a book, because his kids are able to make a reservation for the vacation for him.

3. John can relax and read a novel, because his kids can book the vacation for him.

That’s just the automated spun content. You can even manually set the synonyms for each word if you want to produce more unique articles.

2. Multiple level spinning

The software allows you to spin articles on the word level, the sentence level, the paragraph level and even the whole article level.

You have the option to go as deep as you want and produce a vast number of unique articles.

While this option is available, I do not personally use it because it increases the likelihood of my spun articles looking like, well, spun articles.

I like to have control over the spinning process so I usually take the time to go through the words or phrases I want to spin before running it through the software.

Yes, it takes me more than the advertised ‘45 seconds to create hundreds of unique, human-quality articles’ but it gives me so much more readable and higher quality spun content that actually looks like it’s been written by a person.

3. Very fast and very smooth running web software

I love that Spin Rewriter is web based. It means I don’t have to download anything to my computer.

Instead I can just login to my Spin Rewriter account, upload the article I want to spin, set the spin settings I want to use, then wait maybe a minute for the software to return with the spun articles.

If I select 500 unique articles, it’s going to return a zip file in just a minute with all 500 unique articles inside.

4. Automatic paragraph creation

I mentioned above that Spin Rewriter uses ENL Semantic Technology which means it’s able to understand what the article is about.

Well, the paragraph creation feature is a product of ENL Technology.

The software will create new content based on your original article and insert it into the spun content!

It’s actually a very cool feature — though when I manually check the spun articles I sometimes have to move or remove the newly-created paragraph because it doesn’t fit in the flow.

But it’s such a minor issue, I can just be a bit OC at times. haha

5. List shuffle feature

Another feature I love in Spin Rewriter is the list shuffle feature. Basically, if the software detects unordered lists (in bullet points) in your article, it will rearrange the list thereby increasing the uniqueness of your spun articles.

For example, if you have the following bullet points in your original text:

• Bullet point a
• Bullet point b
• Bullet point c

It will be spun into the following:

• Bullet point c
• Bullet point b
• Bullet point a

What’s also really awesome is that Spin Rewriter won’t touch your ordered or numbered lists.

This means that if you have ordered lists (numbered 1, 2, 3 and so on), the software is not going to rearrange it.

If you want the list to be rearranged too, then you have to edit and turn your ordered list into an unordered one.

6. Possibility of 100% unique spun articles

If this is what you want to achieve, you can choose to not have any of the original words in the spun articles.

This means that the software will replace each and every word with a synonym.

Personally, I haven’t used this feature because in all likelihood it will just come up with rubbish articles which will literally make your reader’s head spin.

But it’s a nice feature to have — if your intended audience are just search engine bots and not humans!

7. Copyscape integration

I have a Copyscape subscription and all I had to do was just add my Copyscape API to Spin Rewriter. If I want to check an articles uniqueness I just press a button. And voila, I’m able to determine straight away just how unique the article is!

8. Save for later

I use this feature a lot. Because you know here in the Philippines, we do have electricity issues at times. So better safe than sorry. haha

As I mentioned in point 2, I manually go through the article I want to spin and select the synonyms I want to use.

Reviewing a 500-word article will take me about an hour so I make sure to save every 5 or 10 minutes to make sure none of my work is lost!

9. It’s priced reasonably with free lifetime updates!

I’ve yet to come across a free spinning software that returns spun text that makes even a little bit of sense.

For only $77/year or $497 one-time, I think Spin Rewriter is an awesome deal.

The first version of Spin Rewriter was released way back in 2011.

So this means that these guys are serious about updating and supporting this software to make sure it remains the leading software in this market! That’s quite a track record if you ask me.

Most software creators will probably offer support for 1 or 2 years and then they vanish into thin air. Not these guys.

Cons of Spin Rewriter:

In this section of my Spin Rewriter review, I’ll list down a couple of negatives about the software.

1. Their ENL technology is top notch but it’s not perfect.

I don’t believe any spinning technology can ever replace a human’s rewriting and paraphrasing skills.

This is why I still go through the spin settings manually — to make sure I myself will understand the spun articles.

Leaving my articles to artificial intelligence just doesn’t cut it for me.

2. You need to pay extra if you want to integrate Spin Rewriter on your self-hosted WordPress sites.

If you have a private blog network, the WordPress plugin will be very useful. I mean, you can spin articles on your Spin Rewriter account and then ‘push’ the spun content to your WordPress sites and have the spun articles published.

How awesome and efficient is that?

But I think this plugin shouldn’t come at an extra cost (but that’s just me.. I’m sure Aaron and his team deserves compensation for a wonderful software!).

If you have $47 to spare and you’ve got a network of WordPress sites, then you should go ahead and buy this extra.

If you are on the fence about getting the software, try it out for free for 5 days!

I promise you will not regret getting this software especially if you need tons of unique content generated quickly.

I’m absolutely serious when I say this is the best content spinner and rewording tool money can buy.

My final thoughts on this Spin Rewriter review

As I have mentioned in the introduction, not everyone can benefit from using a spinning software. But for those who do (for example, affiliate marketers like myself), this is an indispensable tool and is truly a time-saver.

I’ve given Spin Rewriter a very high mark (9/10) because it’s useful to my online business. Now, if you’re on the fence about getting this software, take it out for a spin since they do offer a free trial. Try it and buy it if it benefits your business.

My Bluehost Auto-Renewal Fiasco

1. My Bluehost Plus account got auto-renewed for another year and this time I paid the full non-discounted price of $155.88 (Bluehost offers great discounts for first timers!).

Now I know when I signed up for my hosting services last year (2016) that I was going to get charged more this year because I only chose the 1-year subscription so my first-time customer discount was only good for 1 year.

I could have saved more with the 3 year plan but unfortunately at that time I didn’t have the cash to pay for 3 years at once (sad right?).

But still the $48.60 difference ($155.88 – $107.28 = $48.60) is still quite a significant amount especially since I’ve purchased some costly software in the past 2 weeks (I think of my online tools as investments – which they truly are!).

Here’s the email screenshot:

2. Being the cheapo I am, I wasn’t too happy with the price increase and looked to change web hosting providers. Saw a great deal on Hostgator (which I’ve used way back) and decided to sign up then and there (I paid $174.74).

3 days later I got a refund from Hostgator (scroll down for the juicy details and why impulse buying is not cool!).

Hostgator’s web hosting plans are priced very attractively. For the business plan, I got a 3-years-for-the-price-of-2 discount code which effectively means $4.30/mo for 36 months or 71.24% off! Fantastic deal right?

For 3 years, I only need to invest $154.80 for a shared hosting plan which when compared to Bluehost ($155.88/year) means I am essentially getting two years for free. Here’s why:

Bluehost: $12.99/mo for 12 months = $155.88/year

HostGator: $4.30/mo for 36 months = $154.80 (or $51.60/year)

Pretty awesome deal, right? Plus the Business account comes with the following freebies:

1. Unlimited Domains

2. One Click Installs

3. Unmetered Bandwidth

4. PRIVATE SSL & IP

5. Free VoIP Phone Service

Seeing how I was saving over $300 over the next 3 years, I decided to also buy the SiteBackUp addon which costs an extra $19.95 per year.

The Hostgator agent I was chatting with said this handy addon is good for one account. So this means that all the websites I have in my Hostgator account gets backed up automatically.

This will be an absolute time saver for me since I don’t need to worry about manually backing up my files via FTP/FileZilla. Another great feature about SiteBackUp is if anything ever happens to my sites I can restore the files with just one click. Awesome!

The only downside to this whole hosting adventure is the fact that in 3 years, my hosting expenses will go up from $51.60/year to $538.20! That, my friends, is a 943% increase.. so it’s definitely something to think about when renewal time comes!

Now, how to migrate my websites from Bluehost to Hostgator?

I simply submitted a ticket by logging in to my Hostgator account and then clicking on Support and then Request Migration. I got an email saying it may take up to 72 hours to transfer over everything.

Okay great, I still haven’t cancelled my Bluehost account (I’m paid until 14^th May). Once all my sites are working on HostGator, it’s bye bye Bluehost (OR SO I THOUGHT!).

Why I cancelled my Hostgator account within 24 hours of signing up

You know how Google is now strict with the SSL encryption on websites?

Well, Hostgator includes a FREE SSL for 1 domain and then it’s another $79.95 for another 3 domains and $25 each on your 5th, 6th, 7th and so on domains!

Apparently they DON’T include a free SSL encryption for all your domains like Bluehost and other popular web hosting companies.

This was a HUGE DEAL-BREAKER FOR ME since they did not make it clear on their sales page the free SSL was only for 1 domain!

If you want to know more about why SSL is very important if you are serious about your online business, check out this article on Hubspot. 

Apparently, it seems that Hostgator has been dodging the LetsEncrypt support as evidenced by this thread on their Twitter: https://twitter.com/HGSupport/status/694292490485133313

So, if I were to factor the SSL fees into my annual Hostgator hosting fees, it would now be more expensive than Bluehost.

As of this writing, I have 6 domains in my Bluehost account. If I were to migrate everything to Hostgator, my annual costs would be as follows:

HOSTGATOR HOSTING + SSL FEES:

$4.30/mo for 12 months = $51.60

SSL Fee for main domain = Free

SSL Fee for 3 domains = $79.95

SSL Fee for remaining 2 domains = $50

————-

Annual Hosting Costs = $181.55

Compare this to my current Bluehost hosting fees:

HOSTGATOR HOSTING + SSL FEES:

$12.99/mo for 12 months = $155.88

SSL Certificates for all domains = FREE

————-

Annual Hosting Costs = $155.88

My Hostgator hosting fees would now be $25.67 more expensive than Bluehost. I knew then $4.30/mo was too good to be true.

I just didn’t know what the catch was (should’ve done my research instead of just going straight to the order form! Tsk, I impulse buy far too often.).

The good thing is that Hostgator has a 45-day money back guarantee.

Well, I was only a couple hours into my membership so I was well within the refund window. So I went ahead and requested a refund.

Also, since I submitted the migration request, I had to send a quick message to support asking them to stop the migration (good thing they haven’t started yet!)

And as you can see on the screenshot above, Hostgator refunded my full payment after 3 days.

Moral Lesson: If it’s too good to be true, it probably is. AND Cheap isn’t always the best way to go.

My 5 reasons why I remain a Bluehost customer:

Reason 1: FREE SSL for all domains

As you read above, Hostgator wasn’t up front about their FREE SSL offer. They didn’t mention it was only for 1 domain and that you had to pay extra for all your other domains.

It came as a shock to me because I was, and still am, currently enjoying FREE SSL on ALL domains I am hosting on Bluehost!

With Google’s move to ranking sites with SSL higher on their search engine, I couldn’t afford risking NOT having SSL on my sites.

Reason 2: Bluehost support is top notch

I’ve contacted Bluehost live chat support on multiple occasions and I have never been disappointed. They have always resolved my concerns in a timely manner.

If you search on Google, there are mixed reactions to Bluehost’s support. A lot of people love it, a lot of people hate it.

But personally speaking, in the 12 months I’ve been a customer, I’ve been very happy with their 24/7 support.

Their knowledgebase is very helpful and full of step by step instructions on how to setup various tools and settings.

Their Youtube channel is also full of great instructional videos. Here’s their intro video:

Reason 3: The Bluehost PLUS shared hosting plan is just right for my needs

The Bluehost Plus shared hosting plan allows me to have *unlimited* domains (purchased separately of course) and websites, email accounts, bandwidth.

The screenshot below is their offer for first time customers.

If you buy now at $5.45/mo, you can expect your rates to go up when you renew in 1, 2 or 3 years.

I suggest you go for the 3 year option if you can afford it because it will save you much more in the long run.

Of course, their ‘unlimited’ offers have got conditions attached to it. If you don’t intend on abusing the system and just be a regular website owner like me, then you should run into no problems with the Plus plan.

Oh, and I also used up the free $100 Bing ads coupon included in my account when I advertised some offers on Bing. But this deserves an entirely different post, I just wanted to let you know if you ever intend to advertise on Google Adwords or Bing Ads then you have a free $200 coupon included with your Bluehost Plus account.

Reason 4: Easy and free site backup and restore

It’s so easy to back up and restore your websites on Bluehost. All you have to do is go to CPanel > Files > Site Backup Pro > Site Backup and Restore.

Reason 5: Plenty of apps and integrations

It’s so easy to install WordPress with their 1-click install option. The MOJO marketplace integration is also nice although I haven’t bought anything there because I have a subscription to Elegant Themes and I know my way around WordPress. But for beginners and the not so technically inclined, it’s a huge time saver!

And that’s my Bluehost vs Hostgator story…

There you have it. The top 5 reasons why I chose to remain with Bluehost despite being more expensive than other similar hosting companies.

You’re probably asking, “will you renew next year?”.  My answer would be, “Absolutely”.

My Bluehost Rating: 8/10

Bluehost is perfect for new website owners and even the more experienced ones.

It’s not perfect (hence the 8/10 rating) but it’s one of the best in the web hosting industry.

It’s relatively affordable and the support is top notch.

I’ve invested into the Bluehost system and based on my experience this year, moving hosts just to save a few bucks ultimately made me lose about 2 days of my time which translates to a loss of earnings considering I could have been working on profitable projects instead of thinking about how to save a few dollars.
